Final Blog Post:Looking Back at 8th grade ELA

Dear Ms.Galang and Class 810,                                                                                                                      

               During the school year I have learned a lot that I will carry on throughout my life. I learned that the hard effort you put in is what you get out. Also to understand a book you need to understand every detail for example, Shakespeare. When reading you need to understand details and context clues. One lesson I also learned was that to be very expressive when writing, especially poetry.I enjoy writing poetry because you can use multiple writing tools like rhythm, rhyme, metaphor, hyperbole,etc.
              One text that I read that has taught me some lessons was Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare which showed me you had to pay attention to a lot to details and context clues which will make you go back to the text and reread to understand the plot of the story which have made me a more observant reader which can help me in high school a lot with the more complex text I'll face.
              I will continue to read and practice some hardships I have reading like my endurance.I will also continue to work on multiple ways of creative writing like short stories and other genres.I will also continue to write poetry on major events and famous art pieces and other things that inspire me in my life
