"No Easy Way Out" emotions blog post

"No Easy Way Out" by Dayna Lorentz  is an emotional book that puts in the place of the four teenage main characters Shay,Marco,Ryan and Lexi who are trapped in a mall when a biological bomb is found and is separated out from the rest of the outside world. This book  makes me think of how it would be to live in isolation, for a long period of time.

One emotion some characters feel is unsatisfied. With all the governor is doing to make sure the civilians get what they want/need. For example, the governor has supplied cots, food and extra clothing for the civilians. She even made schools for little ids to keep them occupied while their parents do assigned jobs to help and the governor made communication accessible to the outside world from the inside. " But I heard that some kids had gotten their hands on a keg and had stashed it in a storage room at the back of the bowling alley." Marco stated. This quote shows how in the mall the teenagers believe that since the mall has gone into full anarchy they have the right to do whatever they want. They feel unsatisfied even though almost everyone had started riots and robbing stores.
The other emotion some characters experienced in the book is estatic because there was a lot of  reuniting going on throughout the book. Shay hitched herself up onto the counter and slid over into his waiting arms. "I've missed you," she whispered, tears stinging her eyes. This quote shows how being apart for a long time Shay and Ryan finally have that moment for reuniting.

All in all, this is a very emotional book that will have you laughing at one part, crying at the next and slightly judging a character at the end.
